If you know me at all, you know that my heart weaves a tapestry of poetry as I navigate life.
Nothing thrills me more than connecting with poetic voices. Please allow me to introduce you to Jen Payne, poet extraordinaire, whose new book Evidence of Flossing What We Leave Behind has launched.
Not only will Jen make you feel, think and ponder your own walk through life, but her book has photography that will do the same. Poetry as social commentary has a long history of impacting our world.
“A take on traditional street photography, these images examine human nature from a different and thought-provoking perspective. Several of the photographs were featured in a recent Arts Council of Greater New Haven art exhibit entitled “Where the Whole Universe Dwells.” They are part of a collection of more than 100 photographs of used dental flossers found by Payne between 2014 – 2017, and speak to the subtitle of the book: What will we leave behind? ” For more details on this collection of poems, click here.
Hi Joss. Thank you so much for sharing Evidence of Flossing with your readers and your community. I’ve long admired your work and am delighted to be featured on a follow poet’s website. With kindest regards…
