Depth of a Woman
An interesting title for a blog, don’t you think? It’s taken me a while to settle on it. I chose it for two reasons. You might think first and foremost, because I have a series of upcoming novels with that as their theme.
But, that’s actually the second, less important reason. Because, there will be other series, with different themes.
Before choosing a book title, a blog title, a theme title, I research it. Has it already been used? Who is using it? What are they using it for?
Depth of a woman. I guessed, incorrectly that it would already be in popular use by a blogger, a writer, or a coach of some kind. Surely someone was writing about the depth of a woman! Women are creatures of great depth, with much to offer our world. We always have been.
But apparently, I was dreaming in colour, as they say. When I was a child, it was believed, no, it was claimed, that humans dreamt in black and white. And someone who was overly imaginative, was said, “to be dreaming in colour”. Overly imaginative! You can have too much imagination? Einstein would disagree:
“Imagination is more important than knowledge.
For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
~ Albert Einstein
But I digress. A search on Google revealed, much to my dismay, that the only awareness, on the net, of the depth of a woman refers to human vaginal size! Seriously! That’s the best we can do when researching or pondering the depth of a woman?
It took me a while to get over being appalled.
So, dear reader, welcome to the blog Depth of a Woman where we will not be talking about the size of anyone’s vagina. Rather, you’ll find posts about the true depth of a woman. This woman and many others.
A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.
~ Gloria Stuart
There is no one better to discuss the depth of a woman than you, dear sister. Rock on!

I’m astonished that “depth of a woman” isn’t already in use, and sadly not surprised, if that’s possible. I’m so glad you are midwifing this into being!

Yes, that’s what I’m counting on. I can’t for sure be the only person who has or will do that search. I may even change site url. We’ll see.

I am still appalled but never surprised anymore. I feel as if the world becomes shallower as it grows crazier. Crazy, if you are at all wise, will eventually lead to wisdom. It might be “Crazy Wisdom” as Trungpa Rinpoche used to say, but wisdom just the same. In truth they have proven that if one writes more than 140 words in a blog post–yes, those tweets–nobody will ever read the whole thing! Now that’s just sad… I’m just getting started. No wonder it is now mostly photos, some reused over and over again. Nobody notices! 🙂
I digress with apologies. It is a perfect title for a blog by you. Perfect! With much love xx
