I am a huge fan of WordPress for their ease of creating a new blog, having it look the way you like and also for how easy and quick it is for readers to comment.
You would think doing the A to Z Challenge would be difficult. How to find 26 writers to feature? The truth is there are more mentionable writers than there are letters of the alphabet. So, today, is a bonus day! You’ll have to read to the end of this post to find out what the BONUS is!
I have been blogging for eight years, at first, my blog was only available to a select few. It felt so personal, so private to share my words. And then, in 2011, when WordPress introduced their Blog A Day for a year, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started blogging for the world to access!
The best thing that happened is as my words went out, so did I. I went exploring the blogosphere and met some amazing people. Some of those people’s books and art found their way into my home. How cool is that!
So, today, I’m going to introduce you to a few of those people I met and follow.
First I have to mention L’Adelaide Colors and if you go to this link you will see what a beautiful amazing artist she is. Her use of color is breathtaking. Not only that, at that link, when you see the banner at the top of the page, picture a copy of it, framed, in my home.
Another jewel, in my blogging strand, is my friend who lives on Wight Island off the coast of England. Another artist and writer who delights. Check her out here. Although there is nothing of hers in my home, she has some journals I sent her, brought from Canada, mailed from Paris!
CB Wentworth is a school teacher par excellence! And knits and writes great haiku and…well, go check her out for yourself here.
And one more. Laura Best is an author of YA Fiction. I’ve read two of her books and have copies with me, here in Cuenca! Her new book is set to be released SOON. And, bonus for me, we got to meet, in person, before I left Nova Scotia. Her characters are real and you find yourself cheering them on. Go have a look for yourself here.
That’s it for today. When the a to z challenge is over, I’m planning to feature a writer every Wednesday so, starting in June (because in May I’m travelling), look for “Wednesday Writes” posts here on the blog.
AND, because I want to switch to posting at night, which works better for me, this is only this morning’s post. BONUS – tonight, look for today’s author L.T. Marshall. Double L day today! Aint’ life just grand?
Again, informative. Does WordPress allow date/time scheduled publishing?
I stiil need to write my “K” BLOG.

I have to say that meeting you, Joss, was a highlight for me. I only wish we had the opportunity to spend more time together. I think there was plenty more to say. ❤

I loved the flexibility of WordPress but hated all the time I had to spend to keep the hackers out and keep all the bits and pieces updated. This was a few years back, so hopefully they’ve improved that. I lost a lot of followers when I moved from Blogger to WP and even more when I moved back to Blogger. So I’ll stick with it now…LOL!
